Reward reaches $100,000 for Parkersburg woman missing since December

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A reward for a missing Wood County woman has now reached six figures.

The family of Gretchen Fleming held a press conference outside Parkersburg High School Thursday afternoon announcing that their search for Gretchen has not ended and they’re now offering a $100,000 reward for information on her disappearance.

Fleming, 28, went missing on December 3, 2022 and was last seen at the My Way Lounge in Parkersburg. Her purse was left behind at the bar with everything in it.

Gretchen’s grandmother Louise Fleming said their main priority still is to keep spreading the word about her.

“Keep her on people’s minds and keep her in prayer,” she said. “We have a strong faith in God. Without that, we couldn’t get through this.”

Louise said they will not stop looking for her, despite not being able to find her for six months now.

“My heart won’t accept it but my head says she’s gone,” Gretchen’s grandmother said. “I feel like the person of interest has done something to her and I think that their conscious will take hold.”

Gretchen’s family described her as being approximately 5’1 tall and weighing approximately 110 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Gretchen Fleming’s disappearance is asked to contact the Parkersburg Police Department, or Detective Zimmerman at 304-424-1072.

The family also announced that they are selling t-shirts designed by Gretchen’s sister to fund efforts to help find Fleming.
